Construction & Materials
The outer shell is hand-crafted from new, 99.6% pure copper, 1.6mm thick and sourced directly from the mill—never recycled. It features a hammered mirror polished finish, offering a beautifully reflective surface with artisanal texture. As a living finish, this copper will naturally evolve over time. Marks and fingerprints can be easily removed using Mothers Polish, or the surface can be left untouched to develop a rich, natural patina in the home.
The inner shell is made from heavy-duty, ¾" thick CoreAcryl, a premium double-skin acrylic that provides exceptional durability, insulation, and an easy-clean surface.
The copper exterior fits precisely into a custom-formed groove beneath the roll top of the CoreAcryl tub. Both shells are supported by a robust steel frame with four height-adjustable foot supports—ideal for leveling on uneven floors and securing the tub firmly in place.
Unlike many two-layer tubs, the inner and outer shells are structurally joined via the support frame, forming a single, unified unit. However, the shells can still be easily separated and reconnected if needed for access during installation or service.
The result is a solid, well-engineered bathtub that blends the warmth and character of hand-crafted copper with the performance and longevity of modern CoreAcryl construction.
Installation & Maintenance
This tub is exceptionally simple to install. The standard 1.5" drain outlet can connect directly to either a PVC hub fitting or an island floor drain with tailpiece, offering flexibility for various plumbing setups. With no exterior piping or tubing required, the tub can be placed freely anywhere in the room, showcasing only its elegant form.
An integrated slotted overflow connects internally to the factory-supplied floor drain—no additional pipework required. The high-gloss white ‘Firm Touch’ drain stopper adds a clean, minimal finish to the bathing well.
The inner shell features a high-gloss, slip-resistant surface that’s easy to clean. Just a soft cloth and mild liquid soap are all you need to maintain its like-new appearance.
Exterior Finish & Care
The hammered mirror polished copper exterior is a living finish, meaning it will naturally age and develop unique character over time. If you prefer to preserve the original polished appearance, use the included Mothers Polish and soft cloth to remove marks and restore the high-shine surface. Left untouched, the tub will gracefully darken and patinate, taking on a rich, warm tone that reflects its surroundings and use.
